Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy covers the use of individually identifiable information collected and used by Classic Thunderbird Club International (CTCI) via its Web site at www.ctci.org.

Intent

CTCI does not collect individually identifiable information for any purpose beyond the proper functioning of its Web site and to perform services requested by the Club Members and other Web Site Visitors.

Specifics

All personal information posted on the various pages is explicitly provided by the Chapter or individual for the purpose of posting on this Web site. This includes Officer/Staff information (on the Officers/Staff and Region pages), Chapter Officer or Contact information (on the individual Chapter pages) and personal information provided with Thunderbird Cars For Sale advertisements (on the Classified Ads page).

No personal information collected for purposes of this Website is used for any purpose beyond this Web site, including marketing or any other dissemination of information to parties outside of CTCI. (Note however that such information becomes public by virtue of being posted on the World Wide Web.)

Technology

This Web site uses javascript for specific features including the drop-down menus (at the top of the screen), expanding lists (as on the main page of Gil’s Garage) and the Technical Article Index. The Club Store will make use of javascript if it is enabled. While javascript can be used for malicious intents, and has been found to do so on many Internet sites, its use on this site is strictly limited to the presentation of menus and information on the individual Web pages. Beyond the direct use of your browser software, this site in no way interacts with your computer.

This site currently does not use “cookies” (small pieces of information that are stored on the individual’s computer), except on the Gil’s Garage main page to “remember” which section was last opened, and the picture galleries to remember how many pictures you wish to display on each page. You can find these cookies in your browser under the site name ctci.org.

If you are concerned about the use of javascript and cookies by Web sites, there are tools and settings within your browser and browser add-ons, such as NoScript, to help you manage these.
